Who is Israel?  A Study into God's Faithfulness to the Covenant and His People

Presented by Tim Kelley - March 4, 2005 - 7:00pm

. . . "Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?" Acts 1:6

The restoration of the Kingdom of Israel was of utmost importance to the followers of Yeshua our Messiah. Most of the writers of the Apostolic scriptures (NT) wrote with this vision in mind. Today, most of His followers don't  share that same vision. What has changed?

Is God not faithful to His promises?
For what reason did God raise up the nation of Israel?
Did God give up on His plan?
Did God replace Israel with "The Church"?

This study will briefly look into each of these questions and more as we study God's relationship with His people Israel. After a short introduction, we will have an interactive study where we discuss these topics and search our Bibles for the answer to the perplexing question - "Who Is Israel?"

Praise and Worship as David Did!  What Happened to Our Worship Through Dance?

Presented by Angie Kelley - March 5, 2005

... Israel, you shall again be adorned with your tambourines, and you shall go forth in the dances ... Jeremiah 31:4

Praise and Worship through dance has been a very meaningful (and commanded) demonstration of corporate praise and worship for Israel in expressing joy. It has also been her depiction of celebration, life-cycles, religious holidays, and triumph in warfare within her faith community. This study will take a look at the scriptures that give us a foundation in expressing joy and praise. We will see how a man after God's own heart worshiped Him. We'll then travel down history and see why praise and worship was drastically altered in our churches. We'll begin with the early beginnings of Israel and travel down through the Early Church, The Middle Ages, The Renaissance and on into the Twentieth Century. This study will show how much the heart of religious dance has changed down through the ages.

About Tim & Angie Kelley

Tim and Angie Kelley are part of a small home fellowship group, Ami Yisrael Torah Study, in East Texas. In 1995, they became very interested in the Hebrew roots of the Christian faith and have co-sponsored numerous seminars designed to teach others in the Christian community about Hebrew roots and the joy that comes from living a Torah-based lifestyle. Today, they believe their main focus is to teach others who are turning to God (Yahweh) and His Torah that they most likely have ties to Israel, the land, and the people.  Tim and Angie own a small custom cabinet business near their home. Their two children, Jason (along with his wife, Christle) and Jeremy attend Torah pursuant congregations where they reside.
